whole bunch of options but it's ad-lib town yes this seems like a song like you know we're you saying that you're hesitating that's like the hook that's those are those lines even in the regular choruses or the hooks or whatever you want to call me there's a lot of gap there's a huge amount of space for things to happen we've got the track at the beginning because it's the first time it happens but then it repeats again like in the second chorus there I feel like what I want to hear like the hesitating part is sort of like the background vocal it's the hook it's the little answer line and the lead vocal should be riffing just going for it up high so that you have that second level of emotion like you're moving around in the verse moving around on the verse and then we get to that hook and got the big track I feel like you could be on top fun with it and then I think you know if if that works and if you like that then then that outro section can be a variation on that it's just sort of it's a jam again it's only been used in concerts I just didn't have the opportunity to cut the track yet you stopped it before all of that fun part comes in the end yes I called the and sings a song down it just doesn't work that way but it's the studio is also a place where we compose and and and it's not just not just a place to record it's also a place to create and so this is how this process goes it's not it's the straight of it I hope you can still enjoy like small parts of it I'm just trying stuff out over here so great we wanted to show them how it really is uncomfortable sometimes because this is not the place for me to step over my boundaries it's really tough for me well I'm sorry I'm pushing you that's my job it's my job sometimes the best stuff comes from the edge sometimes save safe place is the best stuff sometimes the edge is the best well that's that's what I want you think about something to fill that gap whatever it may be that was my idea was to jump up to a higher register okay but maybe it's just repeating the line more intensely the that last lines sustained line or holding the no doubt yeah I could try that but so this thing I want moment where we lose the the path where you're building for something and it's not there then you've got to be like I have to make that trance it's about the transitions more than the parts like you can make a verse and a chorus and a verse and of course and put them all together like Lego blocks but if you don't smooth it over with the clay that makes the beautiful piece of art it's just bricks you know I think that's what it takes when you're writing something you you you want to manufacture the the Pete the building you want to put it together and finish it but then it's all about the detail work about filling in the cracks and smoothing over the details and painting all that so I'm thinking the transitions between the verse to the chorus it's the thing to think about from my
