All right.
So first, the first question is;
“What amplifier
should I use with my Dynaudio speakers?”
So that’s a question we get a lot.
So the thing is, we designed the speakers
to work with a variety of amplifiers.
So we take care of things
like impedance curves.
How difficult
is it actually to drive for the amplifier?
Because we don't know what amplifier
you're going to use in your system,
we don’t have a specific recommendation
for what to use.
Because we don’t know your room,
we don’t know your music tastes,
we don’t know what your situation is.
And we haven’t tested
all amplifiers on the planet.
So we don’t know
which could be the perfect solution
for your specific scenario.
What we recommend doing is contact
your dealer.
They will have a lot of experience
and they can talk directly to you
with optimising for your specific situation.
Uhhh Bi-wiring...
That’s a cable question.
People like that chase.
Okay... “In Dynaudio‘s opinion,
does bi-wiring present a noticeable improvement?”
Well...
in our testing and
everything we have worked with,
we haven’t seen any evidence of an improvement.
We haven’t heard any evidence of an
improvement simply from doing bi-wiring.
So even though bi-wiring might
give you some options
and some more things to tinker with,
we don’t actually think it results
in a better performance.
What it does is create, you know...
possibilities of doing things wrong.
More than anything really.
So we don’t see the benefit,
and there’s a risk of...
messing things up instead.
If you want to experiment
with different types of cables, so one
cable for the tweeter,
one cable for the woofer...
now you are trying to to balance
different properties and different cables
to the loudspeaker.
And maybe you want to balance
the properties of the speaker cable going through the woofers
with the ones going to the tweeters.
But that balance, if you're trying to balance that out,
it’s really affecting the sound of the speaker.
You’re trying to affect the tuning
that we did with the loudspeaker.
So yeah, it doesn't make sense...
Sorry!
